Who are LOPSA Members?LOPSA membership consists of more than 600 professional System Administrators and those who oversee IT and IS infrastructure at a high level. The members range from students to government officials. They are professionals. They are hired to advise an organization, plan for its growth, and anticipate the needs that management can not. The members operate, manage, and plan high level computer infrastructure for major corporations, universities, and government institutions. They are responsible for maintaining the network and ensuring that security protocol issues are current. They constantly plan for the next computer, one better than the last. *LOPSA members strive to bring humans and computers together*. LOPSA members have direct purchasing power and influencing authority over the decisions being made for new hardware and software for various sections of the workplace including: the help desk, security, server management, database management, technical leads, project management and desktop.
